They grow up so fast

Written by Tashkent Browncoats at 13:36 25/2-2022

A little under a year ago, I asked a friend from un- I mean, of course, a fellow oligarch with a strong hand in the elite of our glorious nation Uzbekistan, ahem, to set up a second (at that time, before wronskian took the flight to Uzbekistan) cycling club in Uzbekistan. I hoped to achieve a rise in interest in cycling in this country (higher number of riders on the HL), and was expecting the establishment of this new team to be only a temporary boost, as I'd imagined that my friend would lose interest in his new toy quickly, as us oligarchs do.

On the contrary, Mr. van der Veen was hooked, and conversations that would formerly discuss homew- I mean, business opportunities and tax evasion tricks, now suddenly where about the free hire list and excel sheets. And yesterday, after a meritorious Monte Rosa campaign, the rascal actually overtook me on the ranking, something I had not expected this quickly.

I already restored the natural order of things today, but nevertheless, I need to be cautious in the future for this newcomer. Congratulations Stijn, and congratulations to The Modern Timurids!

(it seems it cut off) the cycling interest in the country to actually being able to boost the prestige of our cycling scene.

Also I wanted to thank you for all your help and getting me hooked on this business instead of trying to secure the gas reserves near Bukhara. Without you I would have not been introduced and have never know why to try and keep my riders happy.

The Modern Timurids at 14:09 25/2-2022
Hahahahaha thank you so much! I genuinely see this as an honour. Soon enough I will try to overtake you once again - although I think I will need to ask Mirziyoyev for some infrastructure projects in Sokh or the like so we can attract the interest of foreign riders.
